One Box That Ships the Product and Stores It, With No Added Dunnage
Ma'am is a Los Angeles footwear brand making comfortable, well-made shoes for modern women. As the brand scaled its direct-to-consumer volume, it needed one box that could protect product in transit, present cleanly on arrival, and remain useful to the customer as long-term storage without adding materials, weight, or complexity. Kargo developed a single-box system that handles all three.
The Challenge
Most footwear programs rely on two separate layers: a shipping carton for protection and a presentation box for the customer. Ma'am needed one box that could do both. It had to absorb transit stress, arrive clean, support easy returns, and stay useful in the customer's home. The construction also had to remain lightweight, fully recyclable, and consistent with the brand.
