A Multi-Material Gift Program Built for a Seasonal Retail Launch
Kargo developed and produced the branded gifts and packaging for the Vivo x Alexander Wang Chinese New Year collection. Paper, metal, and fabric pieces were made as one program, then kitted before shipping for Vivo retail. Every component had to meet Alexander Wang's brand standards while arriving as a single, cohesive set, on spec and on time for a fixed seasonal launch.
The Challenge
The brief required more than a gift box. Several items had to be built from scratch, sourced across paper, metal, and fabric, and assembled into one complete set. Each material family came with its own suppliers, tooling, and lead times, and a delay in any one component would hold up the entire program. Because the collection was tied to Chinese New Year, the timeline could not move. Everything had to arrive together, on spec, and ready for the retail launch.
The Solution
Kargo managed development, production, and kitting together so the products and packaging shipped as one complete set. Rather than treating each item as a separate order, we ran the full program under a single point of accountability. Components moved from development through production to final assembly on one schedule, so every piece arrived checked, assembled, and ready for the retail launch.
